Job description

Systems and Risk Lead

We are looking for a Systems and Risk Lead, who will join as a team manager of our System Support and Risk squad in the AI Labs team.


This role is key to improving our customer support operations by enhancing and managing our internal tools and automated processes. In this position, you will also lead a team of specialists, work with security and risk teams, and drive long-term improvements in our customer support infrastructure.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee our internal IT operations: Lead the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal systems, ensuring they align with business goals and operate without disruption.
  • Lead Projects for System Upgrades and Security: Manage projects that focus on keeping our internal systems up-to-date, improving them, and ensuring they follow the best security practices.
  • Guide and Support the Team: Lead a team of Systems and Automation Specialists, encouraging innovation, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
  • Work with Department Leaders: Collaborate with leaders from different departments to understand their technical needs and lead projects that create strong, scalable solutions.
  • Create Clear Documentation: Write and maintain easy-to-understand documentation for our systems, including technical details, user guides, and troubleshooting steps, to support system improvements and security measures.


What We Expect

  • Proven experience in IT operations or systems management, with a track record of leading teams or projects that drive system improvements and align with business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, particularly those related to system upgrades and security enhancements, ensuring they are completed on time and to the required standards.
  • Experience or keen interest in leading and mentoring a team, driving high performance and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with customer service operations and Atlassian products would be an advantage
