We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team with one of the biggest players in finance in the country. 

The position is a 1 year contract with the possibility to extend. We prioritise candidates who can join and start as soon as possible.

• Build the model development environment on AWS;
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, container images;
• Help design the feature store and manage data in it;
• Run ETL flows on EMR platform.

• 5 years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Platform Infrastructure, preferably having at least couple years of exposure with AWS.
• Exposure to Data Engineering with Machine Learning in mind to support both model development and execution, ideally through implementation of purpose specific Feature Stores;
• Fundamental Data Warehouse/ Data Lake/ Data Lakehouse knowledge in order to design and build fully blown Data Solution as well as implementing individual ETL pipelines;
• Excellent understanding of platform engineering to set-up and maintain Data Lake and Model Execution Platform;
• Knowledge or experience with these technologies/methods: SQL, NoSQL, Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, Pandas Parquet, Hadoop, Git/version control, Airflow/”data wrangling”, Iceberg/Hulu/Delta Table;
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker and its Feature Store, Containerization, MLOps, DevOps, Infrastructure as code (IaC) and AWS resource provisioning would be considered as an advantage.

5250 - 6050 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your competencies, skills and experience.
