Job description
Essential responsibilities:
- Architect and develop high-quality and maintainable software.
- Research, scope, prototype, implement, test, and document new initiatives and projects.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Build out front end architecture to ensure optimized platform performance.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Review and debug code.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Maintain and expand our current web-based platform in PHP.
- Build new components and service layers in Python.
- Ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latest technologies
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in web application development.
- 6+ years of experience in PHP.
- 5+ years of experience in MySQL or other database programming.
- 3+ years of experience in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
- 2+ years of DevOps experience in AWS or other Cloud providers.
- Experience in Jenkins, GitLab or other CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Experience in Python is a huge plus.
- Experience with any Git based source control.
- Familiarity with agile/scrum processes.
