Job description

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Regional Learning Manager, this important Learning position within the Global Learning team, is responsible, focused, and committed to continuously improving the Learner Experience by developing and delivering World Courier’s job readiness programs, job skill, technical and core systems trainings, and upskilling/refresher trainings around the region while delivering and supporting World Class Service.

  • Delivers and/or coordinates initial training and retraining for World Courier learners in the form of instructor led, virtual instructor led, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
  • Designs and expands learning and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation.
  • Actively contributes and cooperates with the Global Learning Team so knowledge and best practices are shared and leveraged in order to work efficiently and deliver the best possible training.
  • Continuously improves our training offerings, analyzes performance feedback and results in order to make recommendations for adjustments to training materials and processes.
  • Monitors and reviews the progress of learners through evaluations, surveys, questionnaires and discussions with the learners and/or their managers.
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to coordinate and support them in offering training.
  • Identifies gaps, assesses needs and recommends and prioritizes related training enhancements to meet the organization needs
  • Supports the ongoing business coaching process for new associates with a focus on reinforcement of training concepts.
  • Assists with creation, development, and implementation of special projects.
  • Keeps up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.

What your background should look like

  • University degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of facilitation or training related experience
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline) or other authoring tool and/or LMS an asset
  • Experience with Operations, Customer Service or Quality Assurance is an advantage
  • Effective organisational skills; good time-keeping skills and the ability to multitask, highly results-oriented
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced ability to learn and understand new systems and software
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Fluency in French and/or Dutch is a strong advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others within the organization
  • Excellent proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, advanced Power Point skills

  • Occasional travel may be required

  • Initial 6 months contract with a possibility to extend it to a permanent one, based on your performance
