The project focuses on developing a cutting-edge computer vision solution specifically tailored for the retail sector. Its primary goals include enhancing operational efficiency through automated processes, improving customer engagement, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. Currently, the project is in the proof-of-concept stage, where the team is exploring the feasibility of various technical solutions, creating a high-level component breakdown, and defining the architecture assumptions necessary for a successful implementation.

The team consists of a diverse group of skilled professionals with a variety of backgrounds, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment. The current team size is approximately 6 members, and they utilize agile methodologies to streamline development processes, ensuring rapid feedback and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in Python and C++ to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in creating scalable and efficient applications. The primary technologies being implemented in this project include Python and C++ for backend development, with a strong emphasis on computer vision frameworks and tools. Additional tools and platforms being utilized may include AWS for cloud services, data processing technologies, and potentially front-end frameworks to support user interface development.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in Python and/or C++
• Proven experience building video processing or streaming pipelines, preferably with GStreamer, NVIDIA DeepStream, or similar frameworks
• Solid understanding of RTSP/RTP streaming, real-time data ingestion, and asynchronous programming (asyncio, threading)
• Experience integrating with cloud services (preferably AWS), especially for ingesting, storing, or processing large video/data streams
• Experience with integrating with database backends (SQL/NoSQL, or vector databases)
• Familiarity with deploying and optimizing inference workloads, ideally with Triton Inference Server or similar platforms
• Comfortable with Linux systems programming, debugging, and performance profiling
• Version control (Git), code reviews, and continuous integration best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to own complex features end-to-end
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team
