We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team working on a cutting-edge data platform. This platform serves as the backbone of our customer-facing research and risk products, seamlessly integrating public records from thousands of diverse sources. In this role, you will play a key part in scaling our applications to support our continued growth.


 We are looking for a specialist based in Lithuania to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on containerization, scalability, robustness, and security
  • Measure and improve performance and monitoring for the core backend stack
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for development processes and code


Requirements

  • Proficient in Python with a minimum of 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with cloud architecture (GCP, AWS) and Django
  • Experience in building and maintaining Microservices Architecture
  • Familiarity with the Modern Data Stack, including data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift), workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect), data modelling frameworks (dbt), data validation tools (dbt tests, Great Expectations), and data catalogs (AWS Glue, DataHub)
  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch performance tuning, including performance monitoring and scaling
  • Expertise in ETL data pipelines, with experience ingesting and transforming data from diverse sources
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes container technology
  • Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation


Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, and Celery
  • Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
  • Proficiency in web scraping using tools like Scrapy
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, and DNS
  • Familiarity with campaign finance data and political contributions
