Meet the team:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Dexcom’s Global Sustainability Team. Our team focuses on projects and initiatives that help reduce Dexcom’s environmental footprint! As a Sr Sustainability Specialist, you will join us to further Dexcom’s overall strategies and goals as a responsible and sustainable company. 

The role will report into the Sustainability Team within the Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Department at our San Diego headquarters. With the rise of new global corporate reporting requirements related to climate change, we are expanding our sustainability team to meet these demands and advance Dexcom’s sustainability initiatives.

The primary responsibility of the Sustainability Specialist will be to collect and analyze environmental and sustainability data. Currently, Dexcom uses software to monitor Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions across our global sites to acquire and track data for Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions. This role will serve as the key contact for data tracking and collection across global locations.

Where you come in:

  • You will engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement collection, tracking, and organization of sustainability data and content for reporting.
  • You will help oversee sustainability tracking software for environmental impact metrics (i.e., Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions) against global corporate objectives.
  • You will track emissions data against company’s progress towards goals and targets and normalize emissions data based on production rates and other factors.
  • You develop reports summarizing Dexcom’s sustainability performance.
  • You will conduct and review comprehensive research, analysis, and monitoring of relevant EU climate change and sustainability regulations that could impact Dexcom.
  • Promote programs by developing and delivering presentations related to Sustainability strategy and performance.
  • You will research and track compliance to sustainability and climate regulations such as EU CSRD, SEC, CA Climate Rules, TCFD, and others.


What makes you successful:

  • You bring creativity and passion for sustainability environmental initiatives to the role.
  • You have a background with data analytics, management, and have high proficiency with Excel and other data management platforms.
  • You are proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report findings and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with sustainability tracking software and tools for monitoring metrics.
  • You have knowledge of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and sustainability practices and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and the reporting requirements around Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 categories.
  • Proficiency in French, German, or other languages a plus.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree degree in environmental science, sustainability, data analytics, or related disciplines and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.

Monthly base salary for this position is from €2,953.75 to €3,475.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
