What will it be like working here?

We are now looking for a Senior Software Developer to become a member of the Frameworks & Messaging team. We have the responsibility to deliver standardized platforms to serve and streamline all of our future systems delivered both for on prem and cloud operations. The areas we work in are backend, Middleware, Application Frameworks and Operational frameworks. You will be part of a journey that recently began, in expanding our product development. Together with the team, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing our current platform, designing and developing new functionalities as well as ensuring highest performance. This position gives you the opportunity to work with highly skilled and friendly team of engineers and improve your skillset in many areas.

What will you be doing?

You will be working in a multinational team focused on highest quality and performance. We develop backend systems and products like frameworks and messaging solutions for our clients. You along with the team will be involved in the entire product lifecycle ranging from design to development and automation to support. You will be interacting with many Engineers within Nasdaq and acting as our teams representative in the local office.

We work with trust and transparency and this role requires a person not afraid of working independently as well as collaborating with your team.

Furthermore, you will:  

• Work in an agile environment where we constantly improve ourselves and our workflows, making sure that our work is productive, efficient and fun.
• Work with our platform (Java, C++) and messaging infrastructure.
• Contribute in all stages of the product life cycle: requirement, design, implementation, testing, deployment, automation and support.
• Collaborate globally with Product teams within Nasdaq and sometimes with our external clients.
• Build and tune the products for on-prem, cloud and hybrid deployment.
• Act as a local go-to person and representative of our team.

Who are we looking for?

• Software development experience of 8+ years.
• Bachelor/masters in computer science.  
• Strong Experience in java, high-performance transactional platforms, modern architecture, continuous integration/delivery and automation.
• Previous experience working with development tools such as Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Eagerness to drive the evolution of our products forward with ideas, designs and improvements.
• Passion for building great products and writing clean and beautiful code.  
• Curiosity and a highly collaborative work style, a desire to contribute what you already know, educate the people around you, and bravely dive into new territories.  

It would be great if you 

• Have some experience/knowledge in financial industry.
• Worked on low level communication: sockets, protocols, event sequencing, high availability.
• Have experience in C++ or are open to learn.
• Have experience working in agile team.

• Monthly base salary starting from 4000 to 4800 EUR gross. Final offer will be based on your experience.
