Internal Audit is an independent assurance function within Nasdaq. Our mission is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight. We provide coverage for all Nasdaq businesses around the world, and report directly to the Audit and Risk Committee of the company's Board of Directors.

Now we are looking for a "data wizard" who can take our audit data warehouse to the next level, and support our auditors with acquiring, structuring and handling source data for analysis.

What you will do:

  • Find opportunities to aggregate, enrich and correlate data from various sources for insights.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Support auditors with writing relevant audit observations and business recommendations, and support businesses in developing action plans.

  • Contribute to developing and improving our audit automation efforts.

What we expect:

  • Genuine curiosity for business and IT data in many shapes and forms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, or finance.
  • A few years of experience related to:
  • data engineering, i.e. building and maintaining systems for data acquisition, ETL, and preparation;
  • data analysis, i.e. acquiring, normalizing, aggregating and correlating data from multiple sources.
  • "Full stack" software development experience:
  • frontend, including Python / Flask / Jinja, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  • backend, including SQL, PowerShell, .NET, and Bash;
  • Web/REST API.
  • A "quality and security first" mindset since Nasdaq is subject to many laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in written form.

It would be great if you also have experience with:

  • Internal auditing or other assurance activities (including software quality assurance).
  • The financial sector or otherwise regulated fields.
  • Agile software development.
