MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER

Ortho Baltic is looking for a creative specialist who will passionately delve into machine learning and big data analysis. The company will give him the opportunity to test his knowledge by solving complex tasks of 3D structure analysis and machine learning algorithms developing two specialized medical platforms with user access via a web browser.

Machine Learning Engineer will work with internal business team to build, test and deploy AI/ML based applications to produce value from various data assets. You will be a part of collaborative team in a R&D department and will work on a next generation medical planning platform system developing team.

• Build, test, and deploy ML (machine learning), DP (deep learning), AI (artificial intelligence) applications to produce value from our data assets;
• Use a variety of tools, techniques, and ML methods to tackle complex and challenging business problems, visualize data and present conclusions;
• Operationalize existing and create new ML applications in Python, with a focus on interpretability for actionable insights.
• Running machine learning experiments using a programming language with machine learning libraries.
• Deploying machine learning solutions into production.
• Optimizing solutions for performance and scalability.
• Data engineering, i.e. ensuring a good data flow between database and backend systems
• Implementing custom machine learning code
• Data science, i.e. analyzing data and coming up with use cases.

• Experience with Deep Learning / Neural Network frameworks such as Tensorflow, Torch, Caffe, PyTorch,, etc;
• Understanding of modern machine learning techniques
• Strong programming skills on Linux using C++ and/or Python;
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and probability / statistics;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in computer vision and pattern recognition;
• Experience handling large datasets, BigData analysis tools;
• Experience in developing Expert / Decision support systems;

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 5000 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
