CYBER THREAT INTELLIGENCE (CTI) ANALYST

Responsibilities

  • Primarily work on all – tactical, operational & strategic Cyber Threat Intelligence initiatives
  • Provide input and recommendations to address security issues that impact company and other functional areas (Threat Hunting, Digital Forensics, Security Engineering, etc.)
  • Respond to RFI’s (Requests for Information) and apply analytical skills to collect and share relevant IoC’s
  • Work together with other industry leaders and collect/action on/share new intelligence
  • Gather, organize, log, and maintain CTI data for reporting
  • Assist in security assessments, run reports, and document gaps
  • Respond to newly available data from any of the used data sources, prioritize and escalate to correct ISO functions & support teams
  • Participate in incident response exercises
  • Assist in incident and forensic investigations
  • Work with teams to resolve issues with security tools
  • Gather and produce information security metrics
  • May assist in application security risk assessments, vulnerability scanning and remediation, or data analytics
  • Interface regularly with staff from various departments regarding security issues and Cybersecurity requests
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Analysis, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of IT work experience (preferably in Cyber space)
  • Solid computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs, working knowledge of applicable applications (ServiceNow, JIRA, SNYPR, Anomali, Cybersixgill, FireEye, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security technologies and solutions including: SIEM, TIP, EDR, DLP tools
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring and analyzing threat intelligence feeds and platforms, OSINT, dark-web and social media
  • Ability to respond to security incidents based on pre-defined runbooks
  • Skill in documenting events and actions as they happen during an incident
  • Good understanding of emerging cyber threats, threat actors and their TTPs
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand business impact of security incidents
  • Ability to work with end-users and IT teams to remediate security compromises
  • Ability to coordinate the mitigation and remediation of emerging threats
  • Skilled in analyzing data sets for undetected threats including APT activity
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
