Researcher / Affiliated Researcher – Labour Market and Social Affairs

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (political science, public policy, economics, statistics, sociology or related fields) with a preference for a Master’s degree;
• At least 3 years of working experience in carrying out research and policy analysis for national and / or EU institutions (contract research, grant or similar);
• Excellent knowledge of qualitative and / or quantitative research methods;
• Tendering experience (incl. drafting or leading proposals, managing experts or partners)
• A ‘can do’ entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
• Excellent command of English (C1-C2 level);
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills in English.

• Strong interest in labour market, technology, skills, working conditions / OSH and related EU policies;
• Programming knowledge or strong interest in learning complex quantitative methods.

• Contribute to research projects in the area of labour market and social affairs policies such as writing research and evaluation proposals, selecting appropriate methods for projects, and independently producing high-quality reports or parts of them;
• Aid the Research Manager through delegating tasks, overseeing and ensuring the quality of junior colleagues’ inputs as well as mentoring them;
• Attend meetings with clients and partners, and present findings.
