JUNIOR LOGISTICS ENGINEER (German language)

Is responsible for development, validation and release of transport packaging under consideration of quality, economical, logistics and production related requirements. Takes care about the packaging planning, cost definition and change management and optimization.

• Taking care for the packaging planning in cooperation with internal or external suppliers, customers and the organizational units of logistics, quality, sales and production;
• Tracking of packaging planning which is carried out by suppliers for purchased parts to assure that Hella standards are followed, packaging data sheets are signed, and packaging is suitable for intended use;
• Evaluating of packaging regarding logistics handling, part quality assurance and transport safety as well as arranging and/or carrying out necessary packaging design changes;
• Creating and maintaining of all SAP data (master data, finished goods relevant data, label data);
• Supporting execution of total logistics cost calculations and profitability analyses including all packaging related costs (e.g., material, investment or rental, tool, handling, transport, storage, cleaning and other relevant costs). Comparing of costs for different types and versions of packaging concepts;
• Processing of internal or external customer complaints regarding packaging and arranging respective remedial measures.

• University or college degree in industrial engineering in the field of mechanical engineering or logistics;
• Experience in supply chain management, operational plant logistics, and project management would be an advantage;
• Packaging planning and/or management process experience is preferable;
• Knowledge of the WM SAP module would be an advantage;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Good German language is skills;
