Senior QA IT Platform Engineer

Salary: 6552 - 7392 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your skills and experience.

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (hybrid)

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours/week) 

Initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing 

We are looking for a skilled QA IT Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team with one of the biggest players in finance in the country. You will be supporting the test automation strategic agenda and QA tooling in general, including Browser Stack (mobile and test management), K6 (performance testing), and Playwright (API functional testing). 

How you'll spend your day 

• Collaborate with the team to act as a key platform engineer for Quality Assurance as a Service, ensuring alignment with tribe goals. 
• Work closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders across various departments within the organisation. 
• Oversee the continuous improvement and development of features for Quality Assurance as a Service. 
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures related to the platforms to ensure knowledge sharing. 
• Support users of the platforms to enhance their understanding and usage of the QA Engineering tools. 
• Participate in architecture building within the squad.

You'll be successful if you have 

• 5+ years of experience as a platform engineer or in a related role, with a focus on Quality Assurance as a Service. 
• Understanding of IT service management and related processes. 
• Proficiency in full-stack development, particularly now in Java and TypeScript. 
• Familiarity with GitHub environments. 
• Experience with Docker and virtual machines, understanding their operations. 
• Experience in integrating systems and building CI/CD pipelines (QA lifecycle, including CI/CD, YAML, and DevOps integration). 
• Expertise in test automation, including API, performance, and UI automation testing (Playwright, k6). 
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including service managers, business analysts, and product owners.
• Self-driven attitude with an eagerness for continuous improvement, innovation, and feature development. 
• Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. 
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities. 
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and agile methodologies. 
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure their completion. 
• Openness, transparency, and willingness to share knowledge. 
• Ability to form necessary teams, meetings, and calls within the organisation and with vendors for test management and automation.
