Job description

Position

• Define the necessary railway and related infrastructure design solutions for the "Rail 
Baltica" project, applying recognized innovative methods and utilizing specialized 
engineering software
• Evaluate applied engineering solutions from a techno-economic perspective, seeking 
the optimal option considering the technologically interconnected whole; provide 
expert conclusions and recommendations on design and technological topics; and 
consult at strategic and technical levels
• Initiate and plan design tasks, monitoring and controlling their deadlines, scope, and 
quality
• Coordinate and control internal resources and third-party contractors/suppliers to 
ensure timely and high-quality project implementation
• Timely provide information on anticipated risks in task implementation and offer 
recommendations for their management
•Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of design activities, providing insights and 
suggestions for their optimization, review, or improvement
• Collaborate with employees from other functional areas on site investigation, design, 
author’s supervision, processes, data submission, and reporting matters

Your competencies and Experience

• Higher education degree in Engineering (preferably in the field of technological 
sciences)
• Engineering knowledge in high-speed railways and related infrastructure design, along 
with an understanding of international standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., 
UIC, EN, Rail Baltica Design Guidelines, etc.)
• Long-term successful work experience in railway design (experience in high-speed rail 
projects is an advantage)
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Proficiency in railway CAD design and BIM software
• Strong operational planning skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking
• Knowledge of office administration and document drafting rules
• Strong English language skills (written and spoken, no lower than C1 level)
• Excellent mentoring, communication, and teamwork skills
• You are a responsible, proactive, and meticulous individual, characterized by high 
ethical principles, results-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as 
part of a team. Innovativeness and the ability to find non-standard solutions in complex 
work situations are essential
