Job description

Assistant Manager (Collateral Management)

Our Client's global team is providing an extensive suite of middle office solutions to clients within two main pillars; Trade Operations, Treasury and Cash Management. Trade Operations includes matching client’s trades on trade date (T) with trading counterparties, providing break resolution, OTC confirmation, PB fails monitoring. Treasury and Cash Management incudes Collateral Management (independently calculating variation margin and assisting clients meet their daily margin) and Treasury (facilitating the payment of invoices, transfers, margin, OTC settlement). Currently we are looking for a candidate in a senior role to manage the Collateral team to help execute MOS strategy, oversee deliverables, ensure quality and contribute to the evolution of the group through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • You will plan, control and oversee the timely and accurate execution of Daily Summaries of Client collateral positions within agreements including but not limited to ISDA, GMRA, REPO in order to meet service level agreements (SLA’s) and performance targets; 
  • You will ensure that Collateral deliverables are produced accurately and in accordance with risk management best practices and policies & within clients SLAs;
  • You will check and authorize payment instructions in a timely and accurate manner;
  • You will ensure the accuracy of in-house reconciliation and use of 3rd party platforms, active participation in both daily reconciliation and development efforts to improve the product offering; 
  • You will continuously review and make recommendations for improvements to the existing Collateral Management processes, procedures and systems in order to ensure delivery of high-quality service in the most efficient way 
  • You will participate in various improvement projects in order to support business needs and priorities 
  • You will report on changes in client procedures, on foreseen obstacles ensure client deliverables on time and meet other deadlines, on possible risks to break quality procedures and controls 
  • You will maintain and develop multiple business relations with offices, clients and other third parties to ensure a smooth and efficient process as well as actively participate in Collateral Management process


Requirements:

  • 2+ Years in Financial Services with background in collateral management being an advantage
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other quantitative subjects desirable
  • Knowledge of Hedge and Mutual Funds
  • Strong customer service skills and comfortable communicating with clients and counterparties via e-mail and phone
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details
  • Committed team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail focused with the ability to multi-task.
  • Adaptive, flexible professional style, capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word, and aptitude to learn new skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong Business English both by written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of Collateral agreements is an advantage
  • Experience with SWIFT messages
