The team:

The payments team is a very distributed and dynamic team in charge of developing the integration between the mobile payments providers and the Proton user system.

As a Mobile Tester in the payments department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications across the entire mobile user experience. You’ll be responsible for testing the mobile payment libraries as well as the integration into the user-facing products.

You will advocate for continuous investments in software quality while ensuring prompt features delivery to the advantage of our customers.

Java, Kotlin, Espresso, UiAutomator, Compose UI Test, Apple, XCode, XCTest

What you will do:

• Develop and execute functional and non-functional automated tests for new features and products (Native Mobile applications)
• Take an active part in: influencing design, UX, product & technical requirements using your QA background. Contribute to cross-company projects
• Collaborate with app developers to analyse various complex challenges related to the Android or iOS native applications
• Analyse user flows and issues, and use it as a base for your self-composed test plans
• Keep engagement up with a high-speed development process and ongoing deliveries, executing and adjusting your testing activities accordingly
• Establish a team vision toward quality and use your sharp eyes together with technical knowledge to ensure Proton users enjoy a flawless mobile experience

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer and at least 2+ years of experience in developing automation for mobile platforms
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages, with hands-on experience in UI testing frameworks such as Espresso, UiAutomator, Compose UI Test
• Proficiency in Swift programming language, with hands-on experience in XCode and UI testing using XCTest framework
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
• Strong technical skills and being pro at identifying issues and solving complex problems
• Good understanding of the software development life-cycle process
• Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proactivity and high motivation

Bonus points for:

• Experience with writing automated tests for Google Play Billing Library integration
• Experience with writing automated tests for Apple Store billing system
• Experience with Firebase Test Lab
