Job description
Data Engineer with NiFi, Investment Management Solution (Lithuania)
We are looking for a specialist based in Lithuania to join our team.
Client
Our client is one of the world’s top 10 investment companies with headquarters in Great Britain with branch offices in the US and Hong Kong.
Project overview
The project is a Single Source of Truth for investment management data and investment analysis solution that will aggregate and process data from multiple data feeds and systems like stock exchanges, news feeds, stock exchange brokers, internal quantitative systems and others.
Position overview
Working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aligned with London time.
Responsibilities
- Creating and update NiFi pipelines, manage huge NiFi environment
- Manage Hive/Impala tables in Cloudera Data Platform infrastructure
- Support during creation and implementation of new architecture using NiFi, Kafka, etc.
- Data analysis Participation in Scrum ceremonies Interaction with BA
Requirements
- Experience with cloud technologies as a Data Engineer
- Technical expertise with Big Data tools and methodologies
- Experience working with Apache Kafka
- Experience working with Hive and Impala
- Skills working with Airflow
- Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem (CDP/Cloudera Data Platform)
- Hands-on experience with Data Ingestion
- Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL
- Spoken English
Nice to have
- Experience working with Apache NiFi
- Experience with Data modelling
- Hands-on experience with Spark starting from 2.0
- Programming experience with Scala
