Principal Business Intelligence Engineer (SAC-BW)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (Hybrid)

JMIT provides core operational IT services which power our business and are working in partnership with our business units to develop future technology and business services which will modernise and drive forward JM.

We are seeking a Principle BI Engineer with extensive expertise in SAP BW, SAC, SAC/DWC models, HANA Live, ABAP CDS views. Principle BI Engineer will work with data from multiple domains with a focus on SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning and Group Reporting in S/4HANA solutions, ensuring accurate and impactful data visualisations and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP, analytics, and visualisation principles, but focusing on working with the business, and execution of hands-on dashboard development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Building informative SAC reports and dashboards that deliver timely, accurate insights to stakeholders. These insights should fuel improved decision-making and drive tangible business results.
  • Creating innovative finance solutions using SAC and SAP BW that optimise financial processes, enhance transparency, and empower informed financial decision-making
  • Championing data quality across the organisation. Reviewing and improving underlying data models to guarantee accurate and consistent data flows, fostering trust in reporting outputs
  • Being a subject matter expert on the SAP modelling and reporting landscape. Proactively educating users and business teams on SAC and SAP BW capabilities, fostering self-service reporting, and data utilisation.
  • Automating testing and data validation processes to streamline reporting workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Owning the full lifecycle of implementing analytics solutions. This includes understanding stakeholder needs, recommending optimal solutions, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting innovative data-driven solutions.
  • Leading and guiding the testing process across various teams. Performing cutover activities and ensuring a smooth transition to new reporting solutions during go-live phases.

Requirements for the role:

  • 8+ years of SAP ERP Reporting & Analytics project implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience in both SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP BW (Business Warehouse), demonstrating the ability to design, develop, and implement complex reporting solutions.
  • Proficiency with SAP BusinessObjects (BO), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ABAP (ABAP programming for customization and enhancement of SAP BI solutions).
  • Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting and/or SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), showcasing the ability to consolidate financial data across complex structures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP Finance functionalities, including Reporting, Analytics, SAC integrations, General Ledger Accounting, Profitability Analysis, and core modules (Accounts Receivable, Payable, Fixed Assets, Cost Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Centre Accounting).
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles and techniques for optimising data structures and facilitating efficient data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical aspects and business needs.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

How you will be rewarded:

Salary range for this position is from 50,500 to 93,500 EUR per year depending on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. This role is also eligible to receive discretionary annual bonus that align with individual and company performance.
