Software Developer Senior Specialist

Nasdaq's Global Technology (GT) team is committed to creating and supporting solutions that power more than 115 of the worlds market infrastructure organizations and market participants, including US markets, broker-dealers, exchanges, clearinghouses, central securities depositories and regulators, in over 50 countries with end-to-end, mission-critical technology solutions. Your role and responsibilities

  • Review system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs; implements and/or maintain software solutions for more complex assignments.
  • Determine systems software design requirements.
  • Design, develop, modify, adapt and implement short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure.
  • Develop security solutions for complex assignments.
  • Provide application software development services or technical support typically for more challenging assignments.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications.
  • Modify existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.
  • Mentor others in the team on implementing system improvements, challenging the team to increase efficiency wherever possible and to utilize current industry trends.
  • Ensure that applications are compatible across multiple platforms and browsers.
  • May participate in all aspects from detailed programming to high level system design.
  • Participate in IT systems strategy, development and /or integrations services to clients.
  • Provide technology trends and competitive landscape expertise and makes technology decisions to drive opportunities and competitive advantage for our clients.
  • Provide a deep domain and industry experience and expertise to design and develop creative solutions.
  • Provide deep awareness of technology and market trends to anticipate industry changes and conceptualize solutions.
  • As a generalist, become involved in all aspects of a project including firmware, hardware, architecture, database warehouse and mining, database design and analysis, software development and testing.


You will need the following skills and experience

  • Education Required: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Would typically have, or be studying, a second degree or masters in a more specialized area, such as financial markets, finance, or mathematics related.
  • Experience Required: At least 6 years
  • Python and multiprocessing.
  • C#
  • AWS
  • Familiarity with Software Development Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean).
  • Ability to work from 11 AM till 7 PM to collaborate with US East coast colleagues.


What happens now?

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 2 days per week.

Monthly base salary 5000 - 5600 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.
