Job description

Requirements:

  • Over 2 years of experience in DLP, data classification, and/or data protection.
  •  Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a background in presenting technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Analysis, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of critical thinking and decision-making under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work both independently and within a team in a dynamic environment.
  •  Working knowledge of Shell/Bash/Python.  
  •  Firsthand experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR and other security technologies. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC). Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data protection and cybersecurity (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for reviewing and managing DLP alerts.
  • Investigate DLP events and handle escalation management.
  • Identify opportunities for improving DLP rulesets and provide recommendations.
  • Understand the technology infrastructure and operational workflows to enhance response efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain operational runbooks and response protocols.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, perform root cause analysis, and identify attack indicators or vectors.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, both written and verbal, as required.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (including weekends) to ensure round-the-clock operations.
  • Engage in internal incident response drills and exercises.
  • Work closely with other cybersecurity teams to ensure DLP strategies align with broader security goals.
  • Keep up with emerging cybersecurity and DLP trends to continuously improve processes and defenses.
