Senior Project Manager

Team and Role Overview

Nasdaq is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our global system implementations. The Project Manager will be responsible for multiple aspects of the process including the management and sign-off of customer requirements and delivery deadlines, effective communication with key customer stakeholders and internal management, the project management of internal and external project resources, and managing the project budget.

Key responsibilities

You will ensure the project and associated business case are prioritized, initiated, and approved according to the required procedures. The project should be planned in a manner that delivers the required cost and quality within the agreed scope, including appropriate milestone definition, work breakdown structure, dependencies, and assumptions. It is essential to ensure the project is resourced appropriately.

You will also analyze and identify possible risks and issues that could impact delivery and either resolve them or escalate as appropriate. Relevant and appropriate analysis, management information, and reporting should be provided, ensuring requirements, plans, risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits, and other related project artifacts are documented and tracked.

You will chair appropriate governance meetings and ensuring outputs and artifacts are produced and distributed is necessary. You will utilize the relevant governance bodies and steering committees for the purpose they are established and ensure project stakeholder awareness, engagement, and communication is maintained.

The project should conclude according to the agreed financial plan and you will manage project team members consistent with our management principles, and the project should close according to the required procedures, including post-implementation reviews.


What we expect from you

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficient in both PMI and Agile methodologies: CSM and PMP
  • Around 7+ years of solid experience in Project Management working in the Capital market
  • Experience in SharePoint, Project Plan/Publisher, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in working with JIRA/Confluence is preferred
  • Demonstrate experience in governing or supporting projects to successful conclusions and proven track record to assess and mitigate project risks and dependencies effectively and accurately
  • Experience in effectively communicating with and positively influencing project stakeholders. and team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as the need arises
  • Both verbal and written professional English is required
