As a Data Engineer, you will

• As a Data Engineer, you advise our customers about the technical possibilities and conditions in the Data & Analytics field.
• Together with your team you design, realize, and implement D&A applications, smart big-data platforms, and self-service BI solutions.
• You will be involved in the design of architectures and the build and deployment with Azure DevOps and Azure Services.
• You will also configure ETL and Azure Data Factory pipelines and perform data engineering. The colleagues in the team have extensive technical knowledge of existing technology such as the Azure Data Platform, SQL Datawarehouse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks. In addition, we work with the latest technologies, such as Azure Synapse.

Requirements

• Education: A higher education degree or academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or relevant working experience.
• Work Experience: At least 4 years of working experience in the Data Engineering field. Proficiency in both Python and SQL is required for data processing, scripting, and database management tasks.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of Databricks, including cluster configuration, job scheduling, and data processing using Spark.
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure Cloud, AWS, or Google Cloud, with a preference for experience with the Azure Cloud platform, including its infrastructure, services, and deployment models.
• Interest in new technologies like Azure Synapse Analytics and familiarity with its features and capabilities.
• English Language Skills: Good command of English language skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Knowledge of Power BI is preferred, including its visualization and reporting features.
