Business Continuity & Crisis Management Specialist (fixed-term)

The Team


Group Risk Management (GRM) collaborates with businesses as a trusted advisor, facilitating well-informed decisions that support Nasdaqs strategic objectives. GRM manages and continues to enhance the Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Control, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Corporate Insurance frameworks and programs. These programs facilitate the identification, assessment, monitoring, and treatment and reporting of all types of risks, Nasdaq faces.


Your role and responsibilities


GRM is seeking a Senior Specialist to support the current and evolving, global Business Continuity & Crisis Management ("BCM) program. The BCM Senior Specialist will work across the organization to ensure the consistent adoption of the BCM programs and policy. The role reports to the Head of Business Continuity & Crisis Management. 


Responsibilities:


  • Work with all functional business areas to maintain and evolve the corporate-wide BCM program that addresses business recovery and crisis management response.
  • Support the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and program, plans and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations.
  • Assist with a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycles, activities including business impact analysis, review and testing, plan maintenance and updates.
  • Work proactively to improve BCM processes and services by staying informed of trends and best practices.
  • Liaise with BCP Coordinators and Plan Owners to develop effective working relationships and documented BC Plans.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide training and communications.
  • Develop and update Crisis Management Procedures based on business requirements.
  • Conduct Crisis Management Training based on scenarios, procedures and business requirements.
  • Plan, conduct and debrief mock crisis management exercises to test the adequacy of existing crisis management procedures and plans along with updates, where needed.
  • Assist GRM team members in preparing reports to management, risk committees and other risk governance forums. 
  • Aggregate and analyze BCM Program data to provide actionable information to management.
  • Effectively communicating with the broader global risk team and partnering with peers to ensure consistency of approach and awareness of issues, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proactively engage Internal Audit, SOX, Compliance, Information Security, Supplier Risk Management and other assurance functions to support an integrated approach to risk management. 


Requirements:


  • Few years of experience, with relevant Business Continuity and Crisis Management work experience.
  • Conceptual and practical experience in operational risk management, technology risk management, and operational resilience experience a plus.
  • Prior experience with Business Continuity platforms and tools is desirable.
  • Experience in the financial services industry (capital markets or financial technology), preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to seek out information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong human relations skills to interface with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to act proactively and work effectively across business units, functions, and regional locations.
  • Generates energy and commitment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Action and results-oriented; ability to drive results, effect change, and have a positive impact on the organization. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Monthly salary (Gross) from: 3500 Eur, other benefits apply. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.


A valid working permit for the EU is mandatory.


This is a full-time fixed-term (2 years, maternity cover) position located in Vilnius. As the process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible.
