As a senior member of our Solution Architecture and Engineering (SAE) team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Your Role:

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (SIE) will be responsible for leading the design improvements of CITCO's global infrastructure technologies. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with consultants and operational teams to design the compute, storage, and network infrastructure. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will participate in the review, assessment, and introduction of new technologies and improvements to the Citco infrastructure, both in our multiple cloud providers and on premise data centers. The role will also be expected to contribute to improving operational processes against industry best practices and documenting and maintaining the global design.

The SIE will report to the Solution Architecture and Engineering group and will assume the following responsibilities:

• Leading the design of CITCO's global network infrastructure to include, but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls and SDWAN solutions
• Documenting and maintaining the Citco Global network design for the data centers, branch offices and cloud environments
• Leading the design of Citco storage infrastructure by evaluating and proposing global storage solutions that align with Citco’s strategic requirements. This includes but not limited to backup, archival, DR and ransomware solutions
• The SIE will oversee the configuration of infrastructure servers, storage, and network technology, ensuring alignment with best practices
• Providing guidance and recommendations on security standards and network activity monitoring to help enhance the security of the Citco network
• Leading the evaluation of strategic containerization solutions, enabling their implementation on-premises and in the cloud
• Working closely with the network operations group to understand the networks performance, staying up-to-date with any issues and participating in troubleshooting efforts as needed during major events
• Working with the Citco global IT teams to help ensure that enterprise solutions meet the strategic and tactical needs of the organization.
• The SIE is expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies so that they may provide optimal technology recommendations and guidance
• The position represents a senior role in the SAE team, the SIE is expected to train fellow architects and engineers as well as act as a mentor for IT staff

About You:

• Have an expert level of experience with global network infrastructure, including but not limited to Layer 2/3/4 network devices, NG firewalls, and various VPN technologies. Additionally, the TPA should have an understanding of cybersecurity principles and some experience with cybersecurity solutions
• Extensive experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure particularly in the areas of compute (containerization), storage and networks
• Knowledge of storage solutions and industry leading trends
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Possess strong communication skills, both written and spoken, as well as strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but extensive experience in a related technical field is acceptable
• 12 years of experience in network architecture and design, with a strong background in collaborating with senior network and cybersecurity engineers as well as leading projects
• Comprehensive experience working in different kinds of network environments, including on-premises, cloud and hybrid networks
• Experience with a wide variety of network protocols and technologies that include MPLS, SDWAN, VLAN, load balancers, and WAN optimization
• One or more certifications but not limited to the following (CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, JNCIE, JNCIP, AWS Advanced Network Certificate, AWS Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Certificate, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF 9, CKA)

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (SIE) is a senior role within the organization and the candidate will be expected to be part of the leadership for enterprise infrastructure enhancement efforts as well as collaborate and provide guidance to the engineering teams.

Salary Range

5700 - 7400 Euro gross monthly
