In this role, you will support the accounting function of our German entity, reporting to the Country Finance Manager. This will include:

• Providing data entry, accounting and general support;
• Preparing and entering general journal entries in accordance to company policy as well as US and German GAAP;
• Verifying accuracy of accounting journals and relevant documents per established procedures;
• Managing AR & AP (including intercompany) processes with all connected reconciliations;
• Managing Fixed Assets ledger;
• Participating in month-close process;
• Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations;
• Supporting Country Finance Manager on monthly, quarterly, annual internal and statutory reporting, internal / external audits, annual budget and related projects;
• Supporting German entity and regional Finance Shared Service Center on assigned projects;
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant colleagues across the region.

• Solid accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
• Education related to accounting or financial management or a related field;
• Fluency in English; German language skills are considered a strong plus
• Strong basic skills of working with MS Excel;
• Attention to details, working accurately, efficiently against deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and as a team player;
• Problem solver, flexibly embracing change and ability to learn;
• Experience of working with accounting packages, SAP experience an advantage;
• Knowledge and experience of German GAAP considered as advantage.
